Anna Sergeyevna Kourinovova was an Russian TV personality as well as a former professional tennis player. It was her popularity and appearance that helped make her one the best-known tennis players in the world. Anna Kournikova, a Russian tennis player, who at one time was the most well-known female tennis player in the world. Kournikova had a decent singles record, but had a huge success in doubles. Additionally, she was a highly praised partner with Martina Hingis. Her modeling and looks brought her worldwide fame. It is one of the top athletes that are searched by the internet. Kournikova played in singles as a contemporary baseliner, moving the ball with agility and speed around the court. She played with a lot of strength and used a lot of powerful groundstrokes. Kournikova was born and brought up within Moscow. Both of her parents are athletes. Her father Sergei Kournikov was a wrestling champion and her mom Alla was a marathon runner. Kournikova started playing tennis when she was of five. She was moved to Florida in the year 1991 (at the age of 10) to study at the Nick Bollettieri academy. Kournikova, once she turned professional, signed sponsorship contracts with numerous companies. Following her retirement, Kournikova has a huge audience and has also appeared in Hollywood movies. Kournikova has been engaged to global superstar Enrique Iglesias since 2001. The couple has two children, twins that were born in the year 2017. Anna Sergeyevna Kourinovova was born on 7 June 1981 Moscow, Russian SFSR Soviet Union. She was an active Russian professional tennis athlete. At the age of 14, she became the youngest tennis player to be awarded the Fed Cup and compete in professional tennis. She made it to the U.S Open at 15 years old and also at the Wimbledon semi-finals at 16 years old. Unfortunately she had to retire from tennis professionally at age 21 because of serious back issues.
